Introduction to Interest-Based Conflict Resolution

Who should attend

Persons from all walks of life. Conflict resolution applies to personal, educational, community and workplace settings. This course is required for the Certificate Program.

  • Interest based negotiation
  • Stages of problem solving
  • Applications in mediation, negotiation and facilitation

 

Interactive exercises and cases are used to practice basic skills. This course prepares participants for admission to all other courses in the Program in Conflict Resolution Studies at UPEI.

Credit hours

21 hours credit in the Certificate in Conflict Resolution Studies
 

Course fee

$749/$769. Participants enrolled in the Certificate in Conflict Resolution Studies are eligible for the reduced course fee.
 

Approved July 2006 for 3.5 credits by the Canadian Counselling Association.
