Course Name: Essentials of Conflict Resolution

This experiential core course examines principles, concepts and techniques of the interest-based approach to conflict resolution, and their applications to the stages of mediation, negotiation and facilitation.
 

Who should attend

Persons from all walks of life. Conflict resolution applies to personal, educational, community and workplace settings. This course is required for the Certificate Program.

•·         Conflict analysis

•·         Communication for improving relationships

•·         Interest-based approach to conflict resolution

•·         Applications in mediation, negotiation and facilitation

Interactive exercises and cases are used to practice basic skills. This course prepares participants for admission to other courses in the Program in Conflict Resolution Studies at UPEI.

Course fees

$749/$769. Participants enrolled in the Certificate in Conflict Resolution Studies are eligible for the reduced course fee.
