The SDRCC hosts an annual training session for arbitrators and mediators who are on its roster and it is partnering with ADR Atlantic to broaden the participation at this year’s event.

This training event has an open enrolment section to allow practicing arbitrators and mediators an opportunity to learn more about arbitration and mediation in a sports setting, to enhance their skills with other practical topics and to network with SDRCC and provincial sports association representatives.

In 2013, SDRCC will be renewing its roster to allow new mediators and arbitrators to join.  This event represents an opportunity to learn about the organization in anticipation of the roster call for applications. In addition, provincial sports governing bodies are increasingly using ADR in their own jurisdictions and mediators and arbitrators may have increased opportunities within their own provinces.
